Authentically Indigenous Inc.: Elevating Indigenous Creativity and Culture

Authentically Indigenous Inc. aims to bridge the gap between Indigenous art and the public, establishing accessible opportunities, events, and markets for Indigenous artisans to participate in. Our mission is to amplify local Indigenous creativity, arts, and culture by curating markets, cultural events, and workshops.

We specialize in cultural event planning and consultation, fostering connections between non-Indigenous businesses, organizations, and school groups, and authentic Indigenous experiences.

We facilitate craft workshops, dance exhibitions, land-based learning, and cultural knowledge sessions with esteemed local Elders and knowledge keepers.

Some of our notable collaborations include the Blackfoot Confederacy, Amazon, Southcenter Mall, Atco, Enmax, Calgary Catholic School Board, Calgary International Airport, and the town of Canmore.

We create opportunities to highlight Indigenous art in all aspects including fashion, producing the first inaugural 'Rez In The City" Fashion Show.

Authentically Indigenous Marketplace: Where Creativity Flourishes

Our curated craft marketplace showcases a diverse range of Indigenous Artists, Creators, and Makers from Treaty areas 7, 6 & 8, and beyond. Discover a treasure trove of handmade goods, crafts, art, jewelry, beadwork, beauty and wellness products, and delectable food. Our marketplace serves as a vibrant space where Indigenous talent is celebrated and shared with the wider community.

Building on History: A Legacy of Craft Markets

Authentically Indigenous embarked on its journey with a groundbreaking holiday market in 2015. This inaugural Indigenous marketplace marked a significant milestone as the first of its kind in Alberta, setting the foundation for our commitment to fostering Indigenous art, culture, and community.

We are dedicated to enhancing the visibility and accessibility of authentic Indigenous artistry, cultivating a platform where tradition meets innovation, and heritage is celebrated. Join us as we continue to empower Indigenous artisans, nurture cultural exchange, and shape a brighter future for Indigenous creativity.
